COVID-19 NT Lockdown Bus Services Update

NT Chief Minister Michael Gunner has announced a snap three-day lockdown for the Greater Darwin and Katherine regions starting at 12pm on Monday 16 August until 12pm Thursday August 19, 2021. (Details are subject to change so please check the NT Government link at the bottom of this page for latest updates).

Under the lockdown, people in those local government areas will only be permitted to leave their homes for five reasons:

  • Medical treatment including coronavirus testing and vaccinations
  • To get essential goods and services
  • For essential work
  • For one hour of exercise within a 5km radius
  • To provide care to people unable to support themselves

The urban bus network and school services are deemed essential and will operate as normal throughout lockdown (unless the Northern Territory Government directs otherwise)

Charters have been postponed during this time.

Face masks are required for all bus travel.

All passengers over 12 years of age are required to wear a face mask while travelling on our buses during the lockdown.

Please remember to use safe hygiene practices at all times.
